La riqueza que posee Luke fon Fabre parece aburrirlo del todo al hijo de una familia de Reyes del reino de Kimlasca-Lanvaldear, ya que la soledad lo aqueja debido al rapto de sus padres cuando aún era un infante quedando borrados todos sus recuerdos anteriores a él. Desde entonces todo se ve limitado a disfrutar los lujos que están dentro de sus 4 paredes dentro del castillo, en compañía de sus supuestos padres, también bajo la presencia de su querido maestro Van y sirviente a la vez junto a su inseparable amigo Guy. La aparición de una mujer de nombre Tear Grants quien no duda en enfrentarse a Van, este enfrentamiento cambiara la vida de Luke, enfrentándolo con el exterior y obligándolo a descubrir la verdad que oculta el mundo y sobre su existencia.
